Trailblazers 4X4 Rally & Treasure hunt - 24th June 2007

Once again Trailblazers Off road club pulled off their 3rd annual 4x4 Rally & Treasure Hunt. Twenty-odd 4x4 vehicles lined up in the car park of the Caroni Bird Sanctuary, ranging from a brand new Toyota Prado to a Suzuki Jimny.

After scruntineering, the first vehicle left at 9am exact. The rally passed through Caroni canefields, Chaguanas, Forres Park, Indian Trail, Preysal and back to Chaguanas where it finished at Woodford lodge.

During the rally there were several fun events which included shooting balloons at a shooting range, singing & wining & eating watermelon and holding a water balloon with your chest against your partner's whilst walking around a stick.

Despite the fun, a heavy downpour at Stage 3 had some competitors showing off in the mud. At the end, each competitor (driver & navigator) received participation medals and trophies were given out to several classes. This rally was indeed fun and exciting and we hope for lots more mud next year!
