There were a total of 20 riders at our second motocross event held at the Indian Trail motocross track. This is a record number in recent times thanks to the inclusion of some Veteran Riders from TORMATT’s Trail Riding Enduro Class.
Both the Open Class Moto-crossers and the Enduro Class were put to ride in the same races, which made for a very busy and exciting set of races. There were several “mini battles” for position throughout the three races in these classes.
The Open Class was led convincingly by Champion Rider, Kris Maingot followed by Jeffrey Stauble and Justin Sanguinette, all three of whom managed to out-ride the two 450cc Hondas with their smaller displacement bikes. Kris won Champ of the Day.
The Enduro Class was led by both Gary Johnson on his Yamaha WR450F and Shaun Gianetti on his WR250F. They ended up just one point apart at the end of the race day.
There were several newcomers on WR250's in this class who came along to ride for the fun of it and did just that. We hope to see more of this in future race meets.
There were 4 riders in the Super-Mini and Mini Motocross classes. All rode to the best of their ability and clearly had a great time doing so. The results were Josh Galt (1), Nick Delmas (2) in Super Mini and Marcus Thompson (1) and Matthais Rouseo (2) in the Mini Class. Hopefully we will have more riders in these categories soon.
The next TORMATT race meet is carded for April 27th at Indian Trail, unless there is a tremendous amount of rain forecast for that weekend. Riders are asked to be there by 10:00 am. We will also have two new motocross riders from California Joining us. We look forward to having them here and hope all of you will welcome them warmly in true Trini fashion.
