TTRC Rally – Bronte Chiller

The Trinidad & Tobago Rally club continued its 2010 Speed Stages Rally Championship. This is the 5th event for the year and was held at Bronte in South Trinidad. The 7.8KM long stage is well known for its long stretches and technical hills, crests and corners. The course was changed from the usual extra long straight sections which made things all the more interesting.

Attrition was fairly high for this event. If any one was checking, the score was “Concrete culverts: 3 / Rally cars: 0″. Concrete culverts and bridges claimed no less than 3 rally cars on Sunday, retiring them for the rest of the event if not for the rest of the year. We know the virility and persistence of TTRC competitors though so we are sure to see the damaged cars back on the stage soon in top working order.

John Powell took first place in his Group N Evo 9.
