Stance Movement – Hard Parking on the Bay
Written by Riaz Shamil Ali

So on Sunday, 30th January… the “Stance Movement” staged yet another small meet dubbed “Hard Parking – on the bay…”. From the early hours of the day, tuners from all across the country gathered to join the convoy… from the Caroni Bird Sanctuary parking lot, headed straight to Maracas Beach. From 9:00am, members of the Rotary / Mazda Club gathered with a variety of Rotary powered machines, both old school & new. Members of the Altezza Club were very present, along with a host of Nissan powered rear wheel drive machines… not to mention a couple Hondas in the midst.

Apart from the break in convoy due to highway repairs, the drive was fun and well enjoyed by all the participants… Upon arrival at the Maracas Beach facility, over 80 cars occupied the rear area… and through out the day, many showed their faces and gave their support. A Beautiful mixture of JDM rides were parked, even a few well put together Euros were seen later in the day… All in All, everyone came to the beach and had fun… from the tuners who indulged in the lime, to the spectators & fans who came to take a peep. The ever popular ‘Bake & Shark’ was the day’s favorite, and some were even seen taking a tan.. others spent the day in the parking lot, socializing and meeting new friends… basking in the sun and taking in the rides.

Everyone had a great time, and we look forward to having more “car park limes” in the near future… as we anticipate our main event later on in the year; “Stance Nationals : 2″ . These ‘meets’ are geared toward bringing tuners & enthusiasts together, whilst attempting to stimulate the new generation of Performance Customization and the ‘Stance’ auto fashion…, this concept is fairly new to local tuners, but one by one… guys are starting to make their rides look aggressive, through fitment & suspension tuning. We assist in Promoting Road Safety & Well Being on the nation’s roads, whilst creating a forum for tuners to enjoy their rides… aside from illegally racing on the streets. Thanks to all those who came out & indulged, and special thanks to the Trinituner.com family for all their support. Nuff props to “Buhwamoder” >> Entertainer / Comedian… for backing the cause. Keep rep’n the movement as we look forward to our 2011 season of meets…
