TTKA Kart Racing #3

Competition begins to heat up as the Trinidad and Tobago Karting Association held its third event on May 15. Conditions remained overcast for the entire day however the weather held creating cool overcast conditions which were ideal for racing.

The day’s events started on time with the Cadet and Minimax classes kicking things off.  Enrique DeLeon took first place in the Cadet class with Amir Mohammed and Ty Carrington taking the next two places while Isa Deen reigned supreme in the Minimax class with Shiva Seepersad and Avith Seepersad placing second and third respectively. Competitors in the 100cc class are stepping up their game with Shane Pinheiro, Che Carrington and Saleem Deen putting in admirable performances on the day. In the end Saleem Deen came out on top with Che placing second and Shane completing the top order.

The Rotaxt International class continues to provide some of the most thrilling races of the event. This class is growing and the class participants continue to display a keen sense of competition.  Ryan Peyrau got the better of the other challengers with Christian Mackenzie coming in a close second and Craig Sumair rounding off the placing for the class. Rotax Masters continues to be dominated by Gerard Carrington who seems unstoppable while Fyzool Maddan and Anslim Ali continue to do their best to catch him. The Shifter class saw the return of Fyzool Maddan, Gerard Carrington and Raj Harridan but in the end the class was won on the day by Luke Bhola with Isadore Martin placing second.
