It’s here again. The Total Trailblazers All Terrain SUV & 4X4 Run. Saturday 24th September 2011 from 7:00 AM at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. The pre-race briefing will be held at Josef’s Sports Bar and Lounge, Eleanor Street, Chaguanas on Thursday 22nd September 2011 @ 7:00 PM. This year’s event is being held in Memory and Honor of Reyard Khan. Some of you may have known him from the Trailblazers Club with the AC Delco Suzuki Jimny, some of you may have known him from High Road Maintenance, and some of you may remember him as the Tractor Man in Last Year’s King of The Hill Special Stage.
This event is designed both for the avid 4X4 off roader as well as the everyday driver that owns an SUV or 4X4 vehicle. The event takes you on a navigational stage through the cane roads of central Trinidad, where teams are required to collect “Treasures” along the route. Anyone that was present at last year’s event will remember that these “Treasures” prove to be quite fun and keep you on your toes. The team that completes the navigational stage in the closest to perfect time, without going under, whilst collecting all the treasures along the way wins the stage.

Upon completion, it’s off to the King of The Hill Special Stage. Here competitors will have to navigate a small dexterity course on approach to the Hill Climb. This Special Stage is split into Novice and Professional, with the Professional course and Hill Climb being more demanding than the Novice. The team that conquers this Course and Hill Climb in the shortest possible time will be Crowned King of The Hill.
Once conquered, it’s off to the Mud Hog Special Stage back where it all started at the Caroni Bird Sanctuary. Here Competitors will have to navigate through a Mud Pit and make their way around a very short dexterity course to the finish line. Once again this Special Stage is split into Novice and Professional, with the Professional course and Mud Pit being more demanding than the Novice. The team that conquers this Mud Pit and course in the shortest possible time will be Crowned the Mud Hog.
Last year’s event saw some 100 entrants including some familiar names in motorsport coming out and showing their support for this event. Sheldon Bissessar with his Land Rover, Michael Luke (Mint) in his Lexus LX 470, Barry McKenzie (One Oot) in his Nissan Navara, Ryan Peyrau in his Suzuki Samurai High Top and Haresh Nanan in his Toyota Hilux just to name a few.
This year’s event is set to be bigger and better, with over $22,000.00 in cash prizes to be won along with hampers and trophies being given to the various winners. A detailed list of the prizes can be found on the event flyer.
This event is being made possible by the following sponsors.

Duane 3NE: "..The team that conquers this Course and Hill Climb in the shortest possible time will be Crowned King of The Hill." 2010 Video suggest some other unwritten rules may apply, You’re a kinda high tech kinda guy so check the video (media partners should have) and let us know if my entrance fee is a consideration for an unbiased competition or contribution to a Total waste of my money and time spent on jeep preparation.
BTW sincere regards to the family of Reyard Khan and the Trailblasers family

We planned it for the Saturday so that everyone would have a chance to clean down their vehicles on Sunday and have them ready for the week ahead, as well as the fact that Saturday 24th is a Public Holiday (Republic Day)

There was no bias in last years judging. The times indeed were very close with the eventual winner Shivanand Maharaj taking it by just over a second off your time. This year to avoid any confusion or misconceptions, we have gotten the timing system and clocks from the Trinidad & Tobago Rally Club to be set up at both special stages.
Looking forward to seeing the Daihatsu "Get On" again this year. Your jeep looks and performs great and you can see that you took pride in preparing it.Well Done.

Ah Boy things heating up for this event. Rumor has it that a certain Rally Man with real MOJO and TRINIDAD’S FASTEST MAN IN A STRAIGHT LINE (some say he’s as fast as a ROCKET) joining forces in a well prepared Land Rover Defender and coming to take it all.
Let’s see if the "MOJO ROCKET"
has what it takes as this ain’t no gravel stage and is much longer than a 1/4 mile.

well last trailblazers rally had a certain onefoot tambarind man who kept sliding off the trail and keeping back the line……….so lets see how the mojo rocket LR does this time……
