The TTRC, the premier gravel rally club in Trinidad & Tobago, will host its ultimate event – RALLY FINALE REFORMed – for the 2011 season with the re-introduction of the Reform Stage, located just behind the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba. The event is due to start at 9:00am and Registration and Briefing will occur on Wednesday 19th October from 7:00pm at the MOSPORTT Bar & Grill (Facebook) in Caroni.
Reform was one of the Rally Club’s scenic locations about 8 or 9 years ago. The then 3kms stage has been transformed into 6kms of straights and corners with several spectacular vantage points overlooking many extensive areas of the race course.
There are 6 access points into the stage. Along the Gasparillo Bye-Pass Road is the entrance on the right to the Service Park in the roadway leading to the Stadium. The actual stage is located about 180 metres after this entrance. Along the Reform road, there are 5 other entrances to various vantage points.
The Championship can still be decided with this event. After 6 rallies, John Powell leads the overall standings with 80 points. Close on his heels is Dr. Mark Williams with 76 and Stuart Johnson is third with 69 points. John must place no less than 2nd in Rally Finale to retain the 2011 Champion title if Mark wins and not less than 3rd place if Stuart takes the podium finish. So there you have it – intense, very close and exciting !
Come spend next Sunday with us! Spread the word, bring your friends and watch the thrilling battle among the top 3 finalists.
