Racers target new track records at repaved Wallerfield CMRC 2015 Racing Meet

In less than a month, fans will be able to experience the best-ever Trinidad & Tobago Automobile Sports Association (TTASA) circuit racing meet, as this year the stars have aligned as never before at Wallerfield. The track is scheduled to receive its first resurfacing– a racecar driver’s dream– before the June 20-21 2015 event. This means that the fastest Group 4 cars in the Caribbean will finally run at full potential, with last year’s 41.69-second track record on the line.

TIGHT MARGIN FOR SKEETE AT LIME KING OF THE HILL Thrilling competition played out in front of huge crowds as Roger ‘The Sheriff’ Skeete (Sol/LIME/Simpson Motors/Automotive Art Subaru Impreza WRC S12) won an action-packed LIME King of the Hill yesterday (Sunday), as a record number of overseas competitors made their final preparations for Sol Rally Barbados next weekend (May 29-31), when the Barbados Rally Club (BRC) celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its premier event. Skeete is the first driver to win KotH a third time . . . and by the closest margin, just five-hundredths of a second. Jamaica’s Jeffrey Panton (Rubis/Total/Sandals Barbados Ford Focus WRC06) and last year’s winner Paul Bird (Rubis/Cockspur/Frank Bird Poultry/Hager/Mac Tools/Elas/Pirelli/C4L Focus WRC08) finished second and third.

TTPBA Regatta 4: 24.May.15

Regatta #4 of the Trinidad and Tobago Power Boats Association series leaves Elixir in the lead with an accumulated 2145 points, closely followed by Pum Pum Conqueror with 2110 points. With one Regatta left before the hyped Carib Great Race on the 22nd August 2015, Regatta #4 kicked off at 12:00pm on Sunday 24th May, 2015 at the Trinidad and Tobago Yacht Club’s Club House, to unveil an afternoon of stiff competition.

Suzuki Challenge Series: Round 2

With two race wins apiece, Ryan Peyrau (Trinidad & Tobago) and Stuart Maloney (Barbados) are the new leaders of the Swift Cup and SR3 Cup, following yesterday’s (May 17) second round of the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados. The Swift Cup has now risen to a 12-car grid, while both entry lists included new names.

Hott 93 Grand Auto Show: 03.May.15

Skinner Park came alive on Sunday 2nd May, 2015, with the sound of old school music, but more importantly, it was the location of HOTT 93 v8 car show. From as early as 9am, cars and patrons alike lined up outside to get into one of the biggest car events for 2015. Classic car attractions included icons such as the Austin Mini Cooper, Ferrari 308 GTS, Volkswagen Beetle, Jaguar Mark II and Corolla KE70 wagon, among countless other well-kept driving treasures.

Barbados Rally Club Shakedown: 20.Apr.15

Jamaica’s Jeff Panton and Mike Fennell Jnr laid down a marker for next month’s LIME King of the Hill and Sol Rally Barbados, with victory in yesterday’s (April 19) Barbados Rally Club (BRC) Shakedown Stages. In the Rubis / Total / Sandals Barbados Ford Focus WRC06, they finished more than 18 seconds up on Trinidad’s John Powell, with Roger Skeete third, having fought back after early problems.

Competitor turnout reflected that a $3000.00 cash prize was more than enough incentive to get them to come out and try their hand at this dial-up competition thing.
