AutoSport’s Drag & Wind#2 was successfully executed on Sunday 12th April at ARC. This Event clearly showed that we are getting back into our groove of staging highly entertaining events, smoothly executed to finality, where winners are declared in every Class contested. And this time around final two competitors were able to enjoy racing for a best two in three to determine the winner.Full Story
AutoSport Racing launched its 2015 Drag and Wind(ing) series of Events on 1st March at the ARC Car Park. With a mixture of rain, high breeze and then the best Caribbean weather, competitors welcomed the return to the original concept of Drag… and then the winding segments. This again proved quite attractive to both driver and patrons alike, since the “race” aspect from the start always kept everyone glued to see who would arrive at the first turn the fastest.Full Story
D&W#5 was staged on the 22nd June, again after encountering some challenges with the late approval of the Police Permission. But we did what we had to do to ensure we satisfied our competitors and patrons.

With the staging of this first event, with the new course layout, and the new system of classifying cars, we all know that there are rough edges to be polished out. With change comes these hurdles that WE all shall work together to tidy up. A special thank you to all who made the effort to come out for this Event at such short notice and we are convinced that our next Event, carded for 25th May will be even bigger and better.Full Story
The Barbados Tourism Authority and Top Gear Festival has announced that 2008 Formula One World Champion, Lewis Hamilton, is set to join the star-studded line-up of world famous presenters and motor sport legends at the inaugural Top Gear Festival in Barbados, from May 17-18. As part of an action-packed weekend of motoring spectacles, the British Grand Prix ace will take to the newly refurbished Bushy Park Circuit to join a host of challenges set by Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond. Hamilton has a natural affinity to the Caribbean region with his grandparents, on his father’s side, hailing from Grenada, just a short hop from Barbados.Full Story

Top Gear Festival will make its Americas debut on the Caribbean island of Barbados at the newly renovated Bushy Park Circuit on 17-18 May, 2014. Hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, Top Gear Festival Barbados will feature an awe-inspiring line up of cars and driving talent including The Stig, the Top Gear Stunt Team and guest drivers from the world of motorsport and entertainment. Stars will take to the track in a series of Top Gear style stunts and features for the action packed weekend. Under weather perfect for a day at the beach, ASPL held their 9th event in conjunction with Total Meguiar’s Car Crazy 2013 at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.
The racers were to the west, with the car show and judging within environs of the Jean Pierre Complex and the car park south [...]
Great entries, as good a spectator attendance as we can hope for at this venue and the gradual improvement of organization in an ever evolving environment. Two major areas we focused on were to increase spectator covered-bleacher accommodation, and this we did but…. was still shown to be wanting more. And gaining access to the cleared area to the South for more parking. In both instances we were dragged on until the last minute to keep our word, but we persevered and delivered in the end.Full Story
AutoSport Racing continued in its tradition of hosting another motor sport Event that many considered one of the best in the Drag and Wind(ing) series, at what must now be considered the prime home of Motor Sport in T&T today – the Car Park of the Arima Race Club. ARA (AutoSport Racing Association) has successfully completed its first D&W Event (and the first MotorSport Event in T&T) for 2013, with a fairly large turnout of spectators with over 60 competitors despite being on the same day as Panorama semifinals.Full Story
