Can an EK3 compressor work on an EK4 civic if EK3 brackets are provided etc?
Has anyone attempted this before or has useful information that can help.

My EK4 compressor is done for and a new one is expensive ($2500) and a used one hard to find. The used one i bought last never worked properly.

Can the conversion be made?
Anyone know if there is a better priced compressor available (EK4)
Or the price for a new EK3 compressor? Any insight is appreciated.

THANKS FOR THE HELP EVERYONE, I FINALLY GOT A USED EK4 COMPRESSOR AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

the price for an origianl ek3 compressor is very high. not 2500.
used ones are about 700-1000TT. they fail due to improper installtion technique.
something that i found out the hard way.

most AC techs do not know how much oil the system needs. they put too little and cause friction to kill the AC comp after 2weeks-2months. there's a method in the honda service manual to calculate the amt of oil that the system needs. i printed it and gave it to my AC tech. he followed it and the AC blows colder than anything you've felt.

also... AC techs using air instead of nitrogen to pressure the system should be avoided. get a good tech!!!

i'm kinda too lazy/tired to do a screen shot of the manual page. u can download the manual if u google "above honda ek service manual" it's a pdf.

i may have previously posted it here as well... not sure. as said.. lazy/tired.
