D15b A/C Compressor Buzzing Noise...
Buzzing noise only occurs when a/c is turned on and engine is running idle.

found this on Yahoo ans. does the AC gas really make a difference.?

There is no way in heck that is going to work right.
An 89 has an insufficient condensor and the Compressor is not rated for R-134A.
The buzzing you hear at idle is the compressor recieving too hot gas from the condensor.
It ought to work on the interstate but not so well in town and barely at idle.
The compressor will fail soon.
I believe you could source an aftermarket condensor rated for R-134A and a NAPA(good) rebuilt compressor may be rated for it to. Check to see with them. The Hot-Rod community is the driver in the compact R-134A condensor world so hunt there.

OK when the ac is on at idle the compressor makes a buzzing sound the noise stops if the rpm is over 1500 (reving or driving) it's a EG8 Civic d15b SOHC V-tec.......i think it has 134A in the system right now.
