Guys, I replaced the water temp unit and rad fan yesterday, found that the temp rises above half slightly then goes down back to half when fan is engaged. Opted for an aftermaket unit as it cost $200 and the original $600 (sherrif). Thought that performance would not differ. Was I wrong? I just find that the temp raises a bit too much before the fan becomes engaged. On my other civic, temp remains below half, I have never changed any unit or fan on this one. Both cars have the same engine (D15b non vtec) just the second is cvt.
Oh the reason for the work is the fan gave out, was connected directly.
Will give a good run today and see if any changes or fluctuations.
