Overheating Problem...

Postby *OUTSIDER* » September 24th, 2014, 4:28 pm

Hey guys i'm having a problem wit my EK3 .... When I start the car and leave it to warm up the temp level reaches normal (noch under half) the fan comes on and all is well... However as soon as I start to drive the temp gauge start going up. :? The coolant level is good, The tranny oil level good so idk. Anyone ever had a problem like this before?

Thanks !

Gauge pin connector to the sensor in tact, coolant level normal, no smells nutting... So the radiator could be blocked/clogged up?

Water or coolant ?

Flush rad and check the rad hoses to ensure they not collapsing under acceleration

Coolant... Another guy jus PM me saying

"Could be radiator clogging when the waterpump accelerates and water circulates faster, an also check radiator hoses for blockage an make sure hoses are not feeling soft soft try removing the engine thermostat or replace with a new one , make sure fan is spinning healthy an consistent."

Thanks alot guys

When the car is cold open the radiator and start the car and leave it running ,what you looking for is to see if the water is moving in one direction and if it is not then u know is the water pump not good and then u can get the radiator flushed and clean
