eg8 civic transmission problem

Hi Guys,

considering buying a eg8 civic with a d15b v tec engine and non cvt tranny.

However the tranny not reversing....

On neutral the car driving forward, as well as when it on d 3 2 1. so really no reverse and neutral

The current owner says sometimes it works sometimes not... but now reverse not working

Does this means that the tranny hadda replace/rebuilt...

Or could it be the something else like a cable stretched, etc...

anyone had a similar problem? or can suggest what to look for

I getting a problem just like that but all gears work great when car is cold however as soon as I heat up transmission does not go into gear some times I have to keep driving at 40 or turn off and start an it would work fine till I start to cross 40 it would not go into a next gear I changed my speed sensor till getting that proble.
