If the car was down for a whilethe tank prolly rust up inside causing the pump to get dirty. Recommend you take down the tank and clean it out if it is...

You mean a stock pump as in a stock SR20 fuel pump right?. A walbro will suit this application just fine

sure it's not the transmission? If u put it into manual mode, you would see it stuck in 3, and would not change even with your input. Also, if you restart, the CVT light may not come on, or keep flashing.

If you do a search of the Nissan forum for "CVT" you may see similar threads describing loss of power. The part where you say it loses power on an incline, might indicate the transmission is not "gearing" properly. Basically, the CVT Transmission that the SR20VE engine comes mated to, consists of a belt and pulley system for the Continuously Variable Transmission, which is a bit different from regular automatic. If you engage the sport mode, by pulling the gear selector to the +- symbol, under normal acceleration, you would see the numbers between your speed and rpm gauges, increasing. If the tranmission is the problem, it would remain in gear 3, or still display as D, even if in "manual" sport mode. When you start the car, and the transmission is functioning normally, a light saying CVT comes on for about 5 seconds, above the numbers, else it will not light or it would blink several times if there is a problem.

Common issues might be the Stepper Motor, or one of the 2 Speed Sensors need to be replaced, provided it's the transmission giving the problems...depends on how bad the power loss you are trying to describe is.

Check out these threads with diagnostic procedures for the transmission:

ok thanks for the advice . will keep it in mind but my mechanic hooked up a gauge to the engine and the pressure in the fuel line is dropping while driving. but this only happens when the car is driven after a while, maybe when the pump gets hot he said that normal pressure was around 38. even more when driving, but when driving and about to change gears or something the pressure dropping to like 20 so which led us to believe its the fuel pump

I've got a problem installed a Neo vvl sr20 into a B13 it has a normal sr20 tranny, after moving passed 140kph the car stalled, I have to pull to the side of the road then re-start, I changed the fuel pump, spk piugs oil , all filters, decarb head , used a dianostic tool on Sunday 23rd August 2015 , trottle body position sensor ,this was done, NOW the car idling at 1700rpm in park ,put into a gear 1000rpm , put a/c on it drops to 500rpm. Need HELP!! any suggestions???????

Cut off at speed? - Could be crank/cam sensor intermittent or failing. Swap those out as intermittents like that may not scan as a fault.

500 Ac is low. The step up my not be connected or iacv not working. Check that out.

What fuel pump u using ? Fuel delivery may still be insufficient hence speed cut at 140. Factory speed cut is 180km, so either way u still gonna have a limit on speed.
