Re: tyres

Postby belalegosi » March 27th, 2012, 7:55 pm

Got my Federal 595 (205/45/16) mounted and installed.
Works WAY better than my Falken Azenis 615. When cold they grip like the Azenis but when warmed up they hook pretty good. I'm having trouble chirping tires in 3rd (when heated) compared to the azenis.

Haven't driven it in the rain yet and that wont happen until the standalone is installed.

Right now I'm getting a knock like a bad balljoint but when I checked there was no play in the wheel. Did notice that a small cradle bushing was cracked though. Would that cause the noise?

Also, would the wheels need to be realigned if cradle bushings are bad?

^^^ Very good tyres there Zero one! Can't ask for much more from a street tyre. Mine still going good after about 8 solodex events, and 16 months of driving. Upgrading soon...

brought them in cost about 900 for 1, and that was with a heavy freight charge, could of got them cheaper.

NIcely done CBH. Are you keeping those specifically for dex, or are you going to daily drive on them too? I know the RS-3's aren't exactly intended for daily use, due to low treadwear....... :?:

Daily and dex. I'm a pretty economical driver at dex. So we will see how long they last.

Yeah, saw Lexani N3000 on a S55 benz in the states on 24's... All I could think was "way to f*** up a great car"...
