I'm currently using a methanol mist spray on 3 of the my customers EVO 8 and have had gains on the dyno ranging from around 25-40 whp. The installation and parts were supplied by another vendor, so I really don't have to much details on the set-up but it seems to activated by boost and depending on how it is set up it will spray a mist into the intake after the set boost level is attained. Based on the gains i'm seeing on the dyno it seems to be really workin well. I'm considering making the kit available in Trini sometime in the future. Jess!

I use turbo 108 octane boost. That is the most legal Limit.

where u gonna get methanol from dude????


what you think them rails using pump gas ? :lol:

Jason from puff and stuff uses it in his RX7. Meth is the way to go to make big power.

guys, be careful using raw methanol.it is highly corrosive and will cause severe etching to you cylinder block, rings, injector internals and fuel system if its not flushed after every use.methanol also deteriorate all rubber products such as o-rings, these need to be converted to viton.however there are power gains to be realized with its use. according to the concentration being used be sure to adjust your fuel ratios or severe lean out could result as methanol require a much richer a/f ratios to run "stoik"

He's not asking about running pure methanol meng, just a sprayer to decrease detonation chances or increase boost.

When ya build an engine to run straight methanol, it's built very differently.

I think the better option is Ethanol (less corrosive)..........

Anyone know where this can be got?

TriniOutlaw, Are you talking about a water/alcohol injection system, like Aquamist ?
I know that some US tuners use windshield washer fluid which is more or less 50/50 water/methanol.

He's not asking about running pure methanol meng,

a spray of methanol into the engine over a period is still corrosive and can do damages if not handled properly

try the dsmlink forum. I know someone on there runs ethernol w/ 1680cc. had to redo the who fuel system though.

i'm interested in injection also. good for timing and high boost
