QG15DE givin me thunder :(

Postby dragzster » January 26th, 2005, 8:53 pm

Guys, my engine has been serviced dozens of times yet I keep getting an idle problem and my car shuts off. My car went by trusted companies several times and did diagnostics etc. but to no avail it seems. I changed spark plugs, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, oil pump, clean/service FI system, put new coolant and flush out radiator etc. I just about did it with this engine and still it cuts off on me especially when the a/c is off and the a/c itself when on poses another problem where the fan speed fluctuates all the time. Can anyone advice me on what next to do? Thanks!

Some diagnostic systems don't pick up that code for the cam sensor......10:1 shot thats the problem.

partner check yuh MAF sensor on de trottle body. used to get that same problem with meh B14 an had it serviced. it have something to do with de solder on de circuit board. i was told that de circuit board gets cold solder an it causes de solder to lose its conducting properties. de whole board will need to be re-soldered which would take about a full day cause de car have to be as cold as ice to work on. check that first before anything else. BTW that problem won't show up on a diagnostics test so don't waste yuh money. and like the last guy said if its your cam sensor d car won't even start so that's not the problem.

see if that gets u sorted out.
