Pads: Mintex 2003 Celica GT pads (same pad config as corollas)

Cost: about TT$200

Advantages for use: OEM Corolla pad are about TT$1000.00, Good fade, great and even wear rate,. No squeal.

Disadvantages: Massive brake dust. Which is less a problems for me cause i have matte black rims.

Next set of pads: EBC greenstuff

EBC RedStuff

Application: Subaru Forester S/tb, 2 pot front brakes with 276mm rotor.

Cost: $600-700 roughly, $60 US + shipping+ duty

Advantages: Cute red paint

Disadvantages: awful cold performance, takes ages to heat up enough to come CLOSE to OEM pad grip, just as much dust as OEM pads, early aggressive wear and grooving on freshly machined rotors, waste of time and money.

Should have bought: Mintex 1144 compound

the local ppl for Mintex is Trinidad Brake and Clutch

B13 - GTS, 1800cc
Brands - FBL(only Japanese pad available in Trinidad) and GIC(Italian made)
Costs - roughly $85 for either
Why use those brands - Cause there is limited brands for this application and only 2 brands that allow me to hold 2.4k rpm stall over and over without brake fade when I am bracket racing
OE Frame No. - D509
Available from El Soccoro Auto Supplies and FT Farfan respectively

$225

Toyota Trueno

(Crap, I didn't finish the post the first time!)

Good, solid, even grip, linear stopping, no sharp bites, I hate that.

Little fade, dusty.

No squeaks, just HOLDS.

CK local Lancer
Brand - National Premium Plus(Canadian made)
Costs - roughly $85
Why use those brands - Used OHK previously and wasn't so great with stopping although this car isn't pushed. It also squeaked sometimes. Used National in my car and was good for me but wasn't as good as the GIC/FBL I used.
OE Frame No. - D602
I bought at Mathuras
Feedback - After 1 day of normal driving, pad appears to bedded in and has a great bite and no squeaks. Satisfied.

Car - Toyota Trueno BZ-R

Type - OEM
Cost at time - $800
Feedback - Good stopping power, no sqeal at all, no fade, lasted about 2 years of my driving (I do about 12-14,000K per year)

Type - EBC Greenstuff
Cost - $800
Feedback - Good at stopping, no fade, but sqeals whenever I lightly press the brakes (under medium to full braking, no noise), very annoying

^^ You have the original shim kit still?

Mine's wore out so had to get the OEM kit from Toyota... since then, no squeal regardless of the pads.
