by sr20det fwd gearbox i assume u mean putting a SR20DE FWD GEARBOX on a SR20DET....in this case the answer is no....i have a P11 FWD small spline non-lsd on my SR20DET going about 40,000km with a ACT "street&strip" with a Heavy Duty PP. As long as u use the right gearbox oil (GL4 75w90 Synthetic) an remember to change the fluid once in a while you should be ok.

i have a RWD sr20DET need to get the yoke anyone know were one cud b found (already checked bamboo, including D&D, hyper fast, bicks in south.....etc reaching frustration) or at lease a good workable substitute

what you guys think about a sr16 gearbox on a sr20ve?

i checked around and from what i gather the sr16 gearbox will give a better acceleration but they carry the same 4th gear as a sr20 gearbox. the 5th gear on a sr20box is also longer.
so sr16 will be faster on low end but slower on top end.

also will the sr16 box ratios be favorable to the sr20ve? meaning in the same power band? i know the sr16ve and the sr20ve has almost the similar power bands but the ve can rev a bit higher due to the shorter stroke.


main goal is to be as quick as possible, Not in it for the speed but for the acceleration

Yeah... It will be be bolted to an SR16 engine...

But seriously, if it's from the VZ-R Pulsar it will be fin cooled, top/side mount, small spline and cable.

If it's from a VZ-R B15 it will be top/side mount, big spline and hydraulic.

i have an sr18 cable type box on my sr20 vvl in a b14, but i wanna put the (p11 type) sr20 hyraulic lsd box. My axles are the small spline b14 type that fit into my original spindle, will i have 2 change my spindle 2 accommodate the lsd axle?

fellas, i have a rs5f50a gearbox with a sr20de, engine fits fine in my b13 but the axle carrier bracket won't bolt onto the engine block with the shaft, it drops off. the shaft has 27 splines... can anyone tell me what axle carrier bracket i need to get?

Dont make sense repairing bro..you cant change individual gears u will need to find a complete cluster of gears. Best bet is to buy back a box or go big spline.

U14/P11 Sr box with crossmember is direct bolt up.
