Y12 CVT transmission

Postby Chris00007 » August 9th, 2020, 8:06 pm

I get about a 2.5 second delay when changing gears (from park to drive/reverse etc). Checked transmission fluid and it dark so I'd get that changed. But will that fix this delay problem or it look like my tranny gone?

Or it that normal on a Y12 CVT for that delay? I doubt it but it's the first time I using a CVT tranny so idk

Flush and change. Filter change also.
If all else works well then you should be in good shape.

Most of the time that delay is fixed when you change the filter and flush.

I had the same issue with my van until I did that. Hope it fixes your problem OP.

Interesting...wifey Y12 has this very same delay.
I found it a bit strange, but I thought that's just how it is.

I was recommended to do a regular CVT fluid change, not a flush. I'd do that this week and update if there's any difference

Maybe it is, first time owning a vehicle with a CVT transmission and the only benefit I see is improved fuel mileage. But this delay very annoying
