nissan tiida questions reply asap if u have answers

Postby dman » March 7th, 2010, 11:07 pm

ok

i have some questions about the nissan tiida

1. what is the hole spacing 4x100 or 4x114 is this the same for all?

2. hr15de what would be the best performance spark plug for this engine and what type of oil should be used ( i normally use the shell helix in the blue bottle the sytheic blend)

3. the tiida comes cvt and non cvt if is the non cvt what transmission oil can be used

thanks in advance

I've got the hr16 tho and i use Castrol Syntec Blend 20w-50, i highly recomend it, no engine noise on startups in the morning and it stands up to the abuse
As for the spark plugs changed them myself and put back in new oem's i got them in neal & massy
And the regular four speed tranny you can either use Castrol ATF+4 or Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF Multi-Vehicle Formula, both are very good but the mobil 1 is performing better for me.

I've got one also, the HR15de hatch back.

Plugs are FXE20HE11

Do not change these only after 150k Km (iridium)

Hole spacing is 4 X 114

Transmission fluid if CVT Xtronic USE ONLY NISSAN NS2 FLIUD.

Its written on the dipstick.

HR15 engine can run on Super as octane requirement is RON 91.

Cheers.

i use the 10W30 castrol, no probs wit it
how much for that NS2 CVT transmission fluid?
normally i run the premium gas but if funds low i use the super wit a treatment, premium does make the engine sound better i find

I use 10W 30 Mobil 1. If engine is the HR15 & not the HR16 nissans booklet stated to use RON 91.. No need to through away money using the permium. The tank supposed to be 52L therefore its costing you $67.60 more with premium over super.

With respect to the motor sounding better i think its in your imagination.

I don't know how much for the NS2 however if your mechanic has the OBD II it will tell you when to change the fluid as these new Xtronic CVT's monitor the oil's viscosity.

Note this is only for the models with the Xtronic CVT & not the normal 4 speed t/mission what Massy sells.

OBD II is the scan tool. I have mine since mid Dec 09. I tried both super & premium & there is no difference in performance just less money in your pocket. What yr is yours cause from 07 onwards they equipped them from normal CVT to Xtronic CVT i.e they improved the gear ratios to optimise fuel efficiency not speed.

jjcp the platinum OEM spark plugs change every 60,000km i got them in massy for around $110 each. I tried pushing mine for longer and i got a misfiring behavior, I started to get it once or twice between 1000-3500 rpm then it got really bad after 3500+ as the vvl engages, theres no harm in checking the fuel pump and cleaning the filter.

The HR series engine is really sensitive in respect to maintenance and the ecu wouldnt hesitate to throw a cel so please for the sake of the engine be punctual with maintenance. You'll be surprised at the performance you'll get back when you give the engine some tlc

thanks for the info rb25, in the car, i notice when he start the car, it tumbles a little longer to start now and it only misfire like when the engine under stain, like if u accelerating on a hill or u pull out of a corner fast, the car stutters about two times and picks up, on the high is no problem at all, no misfiring, he check a mechanic and they saying either injectors or a coil pack playing up, the car is a roro and doing 26K rite now, so he doubt is plugs

It sounding like the typical symptoms of the infamous fuel pressure regulator, (takin long to start) i know that the usdm versas had an issue with faulty regulators and they were replaced for free under warranty, first time i hearing these symptoms on a tiida down here

If it was an injector or coil u would have a nice yellow light on your dashboard shape like an engine
Based on the symptoms i would say its either the fuel pressure regulator, spark plugs or clogged fuel filter
Dont be fooled by the 26k mileage this is trini ive seen old and new cars with altered odometer readings

i doubt is the fuel regulator since it would affect on the highway or when idling, he dont have any problems when the car idling, is just it tumbles a lil longer and the stutters he gets, mostly when pulling off a corner and climbing a hill,
i no about the altered odo, as most roro is altered before coming down

Instead of trying to figure out on tuner, just do the following BASIC things first..

1) Check the condition of the plugs...sometimes the plug will be going & @ lower rpm's you'll get this. At high speeds the higher RPM's you won't feel it.

2) Check the condition of the injectors or get them prof. cleaned.

We'll take it from there after, however I strongly feel after those 2 steps are done the porblem may be solved
