WTK:Engine Oil

Postby Keon24 » July 3rd, 2015, 8:17 pm

Hey, I have a K10 with the stock engine and it running alright, doing some work on it to bring it back up to scratch. need to change the engine oil tho. pulled that dipstick and the oil was black. already have a motor flush solution, just wanted some recommendations on the type of engine oil (well, more what brand) planning to go with 20W50. any help appreciated. :)

Do some research on those engine oil flush before you drop it into the engine. Some of those do more harm than good.

Also whats the mileage and recommended oil for the engine?

Only"flush" I trust is from Valvoline as it's not solvent based. Most other flushes are basically kerosene

I think the worst thing you can do is put an engine flush in an old engine thats not accustom with engine flushes
