Nissan N16. Bolt to Bolt engine Upgrade.

Postby KFLDS » October 5th, 2010, 10:22 pm

Hello...
I've a nissan N16. With QG13DE Stock engine, and I want to upgrade but I want a bolt to bolt engine.. with no modifications at all....

and there's 2 choices ahead. The QG18DE... and QR20De ..

can anyone confirm that the QR20DE doesnt need ANY modifications ? same engine mounts , same transmission ?

or anyone has other advices , please do! :D

Best regards.

I think the best option for you would be the QG18 cuz same bolt up an it is fairly stronger than the Qr20.The Qr20 is known for transmission problems!

I had a qg18de in my bluebird sss and never lose to anything powered by a QR20...the qg18de once well maintained and tuned (especially via diagnostic tuning) you will win on the road and at the gas station....but that was probably jus me...take a read of this though if you want

A SR will fit bolt for bolt. You need the b13/14(SR) right side axle, Same QG axle on the left. If you going box , you need the b13/14 (SR) bracket and a moded b14 shifter.
