Hyundai has better resale value, and they seem to be making a more-impressive-than-kia name for themselves worldwide.

We happen to own both

H100= more quiet(timing belt), it has a faster top speed, power windows, comes with CD deck!
58kw@4000
Torque 170nm@2200
*google*

K2700(double rear wheel)= longer tray, more cabin space, it can pull a lot of load & i mean alot, leatherette interior, its noisy(can can be credited to it's timing chain)
62kw@4150
Torque 175nm@2400
*google*

Each has Pros. & Cons.

its all based on wat you wanna do with the truck...if its heavy work then go wit the kia lighter loads will be the hyundai.......after a while the a/c and starter tends to fail in both, from owning both the kia and hyundai i would recommend the hyundai because its more comfortable to drive and the seats are more comfortable than the kia and suprisingly enough the hyundai gives less engine trouble than the kia

we've had ours since 2005 & haven't changed a thing except oil & filter..............and none of them ever had AC, engine or starter failure

the kia and hyundai we have were both on a three year lease in point lisas and at the end of it all the hyundai came out in a better state than the kia "mechanical wise".....also the kia undercarriage is begining to rust whereas the hyundai still holding out

I think the Hyundai H100 comes with the same engine as the Mitsubishi L300 panel van and those engines are real work horses.

Is that confirmed?? Had no idea. So far the hyundia getting all the ratings so I'll give a lil input on the Kia. We had a TBA that we sold recently. One transmission job no engine job. I also have a newer one,a TBY to be precise. Currently its doing about 140,xxx km and with not soo regular oil changes the only the work we had done was that the starter was repair once and the alternator brushes were changed twice. No suspension work nor body work.(windshield change about for times but I guess that my fault). Factory battery was changed at about 135,xxx km. Never had a problem with A/C although heat setting woulda be nice for those cold mornings coming from market when the glass frosting up. It is slower than the Hyundia but I assume thats a safety feature,'cause these light trucks skid easily. I can assure you Kia does and can haul big a**

I own a K2700 that I bought in May 2011 and it now has 10,000 KMS. I have absolutely no problems with this vehicle so far and it is a pleasure to drive. These are the main differences between the K2700 and the H100:

K2700 vs H100
------ ------
10 foot tray vs 9 foot tray
double rear wheels vs single rear wheel
lower tray (easier for loading) vs higher tray
Displacement
2,665 cc vs 2,607 cc
Max. Power
80 ps (66 kW) @ 4,000 rpm vs 79 ps @ 4,000 rpm
Max. Torque
16.8 kg·m (165 Nm) @ 2,400 rpm vs 17 kg-m @ 2200 rpm
manual window vs power window
No A/C temp. control setting vs Has A/C temp. control setting
(this is the lever that you move
to determine how cold you want the
A/C. It's usefull at night to adjust the
temperature so it don't get too cold)
CD player CD player
leatherette seats leatherette seats

Summary
---------
These are essentially the same vehicles, but with the longer tray the K2700 can haul more load, especially longer type loads. They are both light commercial trucks. If you have lighter loads most of the time, buy the H100. If you have heavier loads most of the time, buy the K2700.

At the time of purchase the K2700 was TT$122K and the H100 was TT$130K. The K2700 does not have power windows or an a/c temp. control button but it does have a longer tray so you would think that the price would be the same.

BIAS: I like my K2700. I get a top speed of 130 Kms/hr on 5th gear and a comfortable ride. It rides almost like a pickup even though it is a truck, albeit slightly more bumpy. The resale value for the KIA is good as far as I can tell, but I don't plan to sell anytime soon anyway so that is not a consideration for me.

I can't speak for the H100 since I don't own one, but I expect that it will not be that different.

Go Massy Motors for the Hyundai H100 and go Southern Sales & Service Co. Ltd. for the Kia K2700.
