Well most likely it will be a pressed aluminium plate.....being issued by the state I hope there is some choice..currently i think plates can be black background or white..and of course most likely there will be some law prohibiting you from tampering with them..or altering them in any way.

This means vehicle inspections will be back on line... full stream soon

Acting Prime Minister Jack Warner says new licence plates will be issued as part of the transformation of the Licensing Division.
Warner said this during his presentation of the cabinet-approved transformational programme to modernise the licensing system, at the Office of the Prime Minister, St Clair, yesterday. He said drivers would be assigned new licence plates that would be of the North American standard.
Warner said new colours and number sequences would be introduced. He said vehicle owners would also have the option of personalising their plates. He said the proposal was to introduce 16 new classifications of licence plates that would include commercial, hired, diplomatic and disabled. Warner said one of the hallmark features of the new licence plates would be a modernised security feature, which involved a micro chip being implanted into the plate itself.
He said these micro chips would provide radio frequency identification, which would allow automatic identification of the owner of the vehicle and its status. Warner said this security feature would allow police officers to identify stolen cars or cars that had been tagged for suspicious behaviour. He said through this system and security cameras being installed along the roadways, traffic and speeding tickets would be mailed to vehicle owners’ home. Warner said these new licence plates would allow traffic police to carry out their duties in a more efficient manner. He said the plates would not be manufactured locally and would greatly assist in national security measures.

its about time. too many illegal vehicles on the road, a licence plate is supposed to have more value than just a piece of plexi and some vinyl.

at the same time, licensing office will have to go thru an exponential upgrade to accomodate vehicle inspection on such a large scale. on the other hand, it will now be harder to spot vehicles of the wrong age with the wrong plate.
real unrigistered sports cars gonna end up FS.............

Poor thing so nervous she was biting her lip.......
Image

plan is to cut out and replace the floor panels, part of the hatch floor, and bottom quarter of the doors......

This is inside the passenger door
Image

..........and the trunk floor
Image

We will be stripping it back to bare metal..........I know Sanctifier will frown on the methodology, but the money won't allow for more..........getting the floor panels pressed to original spec locally as well.........thinking about getting a front spoiler similar to the one in the flame car Wagonrunner posted above as well

body in primer now.......work to start on prepping the inside now
Replacing the old bonnet with the old aluminium one from Dad's previous car....I always knew one day it would come in handy :D
Went to the paintshop on Saturday to pick the colour. The primer will be sealed with black, then white to prevent bleeding, then yellow, and finally clearcoat

Image

all corrosion gone........
Image

Image

engine bay will be going in yellow as opposed to black as before
Image

new floors

I forgot to tell him NOT to paint under the car in gloss black
:?
also the calipers were red :? :? :?
