I saw quotes on their Facebook page 2.2 for 270k? And 3.2 for 307k?
Anyone knows if that's the wildtrak trim or base?
If wildtrak, that's much cheaper than Maska, Czar, etc!
3.2 wildtrak is 395k
Wdma. That go stay right there yes.

If the fulloy loaded one is 307k, then that isn't too bad imo.

Also, if TTTL isn't selling and servicing the 2.8, I presume they had nothing to do with the fleet of CNG equipped Hiluxes that are rolling around now. Maybe someone in house at NP, or at VMCOTT got the training to deal with those **shrugs**

not sure if the spark is still available because GM is doing a model change and we haven't received the all-new spark yet. The cheap alternative was the march but again not sure if massy still importing them so some relatively well built cheap point a to b cars are currently stuff like the fiesta, sonic, accent/rio, versa and lancer glx. Keep in mind while ugly, the versa is made in india so not sure of the quality behind the ugliness.

We had the Versa as part of the fleet.
Total madness for someone over 6 ft tall.
The Versas that are souced via RORO dealers, are they assembled in India as wel?
acesinghit wrote:what made it worse for the roro versa ie. Latio is that it has a 1.2L engine. Not sure why they gave up the additional 300cc.
Anyway, I am trying to research why TTTL refuses to bring the 2.8 Hilux. Check the below info out:
1KD-FTV
3.0 DOHC 16V in-line 4 CRDi VNT
uses timing belt
2 counter rotating balance shafts
5-speed automatic with manual shift mode
120-127kW @ 3400rpm (161-170hp)
360Nm /265 ft-lbs peak torque @ 1800-3400rpm
Euro 4/5
17.9:1 compression ratio
135mpa/1350 bar/19,580psi
TMIC
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1GD-FTV
2.8 DOHC 16V in-line 4 CRDi VNT
uses timing chain
single counter rotating balance shaft
6-speed automatic with manual shift mode
130-132kW @ 3400rpm (174-177hp)
450Nm / 332ft-lbs peak torque @ 1400-2600rpm
Euro 6
15.6:1 compression ratio
135mpa/1350bar/19,580psi
FMIC
Toyota claims the new 2.8 in comparison to the old 3.0 has a 30% smaller turbo; 25% more torque; 15% more fuel efficient;30% smaller catalyst and 44% better thermal efficiency.
I learnt that there was a study on our Diesel and Toyota recognizes that the 2.8 would have several issues hence the new model Hilux still being offered with the older engine. The thing is, any day now they are expecting the 2016 Fortuner. If the Fortuner comes 2.8 then this was BS since day 1 however if the Fortuner continues with the 3.0 then this would confirm that their study does not warrant the 2.8 for our diesel.
I was talking to the owner of a 2.8 version and he said because its a lower compression engine Toyota Thailand designed it for poor quality diesel consumers like us.

Watch the difference - Euro 5 and Euro 6

got blind spot monitoring, 6 airbags traction control and the full works. It even comes with heated and cooled seats ( The sales guy said heated and cooled seats come together).Which is unheard of in this class. In the end the fully loaded is cheaper than a Civic and way better equipped.
Loved the Aluminium pedals as well!
