Nigie most likely it will be an LT1 or just a normal 350 chevy..and MG Man the Jag isn't for sale.I have one more car to show..will post it tomorrow..MG Man might like it as its British also..hehe

Jags are meant to idle smootly, not jump and bubble, which is why they never ever came with V8s.......until the dreaded Blue Oval took over

I passed on a 350V8 XJ6 some years back....in hindsight 8k wasn;t a bad price, even with the molested interior and rust.....
thing is, once u feel the smoothess of that XK engine, anything else feels positively agricultural

ford really mucked about, putting a V8 in a JAG
ever notice how all the major luxury carmakers have an inline six in many of their cars?
The inline 6 is an inherently smooth engine.........does not require counterbalancers etc to make it sit and idle silently and smoothly
thats why it's so popular among the luxury brands
modern V8s are comparable now, but it takes so much extra hardware to replicate the smoothness of a 6

MG dunno if u drove or have ridden in the modern v8 jag.....i have experienced the 2005 model and thats the smoothest v8 I have ever come accross....
