#8 Toyota hybrid car made contact with another car and went airborne. Both cars crashed into the tirewall. Only 1 Toyota car remaining to run with the 4 Audis :(

toyota is clearly faster than the audi as we seen. the battle for the lead was amazing......now losing one of the toyota is going be hard for toyota to win against 4 audis....

The #1 Audi e-tron quattro best lap time is 3.26.302 vs. the fastest Toyota time of 3.27.088. Not clearly faster, but clearly has the ability to keep pace with the Audis.

Yep - more than capable in holding its own on the straightaway against the Audis, but time will tell if it's able to run a faster lap.

I hope they can keep the 1 remaining car running for the rest of the race...

I take a little sleep and look at what I miss!
Glad to see everybody seems ok. Toyota just became a little bit like what audi was last year, one against many.

for toyota to win they going to have to rotate first and second with audi...now that boils down to fuel , tyres strategy.....

Also there's a nice live blog with twitter updates from teams that i've been following from this morning. Some of the updates are there slightly before speed talks about it: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/f1-informati ... milwaukee/

Yes all the Toyotas done.....

Clean , easy victory for Audi....1 - 2 - 3.

Its Toyota first real run on car that was built less than a yr....Some teething problems shown up on car #7 and car #8 had an accident....

Feel i take in some football tonight... :drinking:

Still plenty racing left, which audi will win? Look the old guys' car takes the lead after a spin from the young boys. And mabe even an audi 1-2-3-4 in the cards
I wan t a win for capello before he retires and for mc Nish so he could redeem himself after crashing early last yr

Yea he crashed, but McNish setting some of the fastest race laps now, he clearly still is fighting for the win and the car is in great condition still

Was a good one, in the end the result was as predicted. Looking foward to the future, audi, toyota and porsche in LMP1 by 2014 and hopefully jaguar and peugeot as well!! I think porsche returning and fighting audi to keep its title of most wins could turn out to be a great battle in the future. Plus new technology wars as well, with the rules going to allow no restriction on number of cylinders, engine type and turbo boost pressure

Congrats to Audi for using hybrid technology to win a Le Mans...

Pity Toyota did not last but they have shown they have the pace to take on Audi..This is not end , Le Mans 24 forms part of the FIA WEC Championship so these two will meet again in Sliverstone , England...Aug 26, 2012. Le Mans 24 is just piece of the cake...FIA WEC title is the cake.
