CARS is pleased to announce that we will be hosting our Driving School #2 & our new Time Attack event this Sunday April 22 at the Arima Race Club car park.

The intent of our driving school is to demonstrate to our new drivers the proper technique involved at Solodex. Anyone who may be interested in learning proper race technique can attend the driving school and participate in the practical session after. Similar to our previous Driving School sessions, the day will be split into classroom sessions followed by Q&A, Practicals, Open Course runs and official timed runs.

The last few hours of the event though, will prove to be action packed. We''ll be adding some more excitement to the mix for both drivers and spectators with our Solodex Time Attack! Two separate mirror courses will be set up and two drivers will be able to simultaneously navigate the fast but challenging course. With some drag race-inspired straightaways thrown in, things will be moving even faster! Racing side by side with another driver adds some extra adrenaline rush especially when you see you left him (or her!) in the dust behind you. The extra rush also presents a great opportunity to develop your concentration and discipline for the sport since overly-enthusiastic driving may actually hamper your time. Attached is a preview of what you can expect for this gripping portion of the event.

COST: $150.00 per driver
GATE FEE: $20.00 for non-members
TIME: 9:30am to 4:30pm
VENUE: Arima Race Club Car Park
TENT RENTALS - $325.00 for the day. Send email to carstt@gmail.com, call Vishnu at 684-6911 or Anthony at 685-2811. Tent cost can be split by two persons.

Helmets are mandatory for driver and passenger and are available for rental on the day for $45.00 if you don't own one. Also note our dress code restrictions for participants - the use of open toe shoes, short pants and sleeveless shirts while on the course is prohibited.

Also note that stipends will be paid out at this event to all marshals who assisted us in Rally Trinidad a few weeks ago.

So come enjoy the thrill with us this Sunday and we'll see who's really deserving of bragging rights on this proving ground. Stay tuned!!

We will have the head to head course set up from the start of the day with some additional slaloms and turns but will start the head to head around 2:00 to 3:00pm depending on the request for practice time from our members.

WHP to BHP
139*1.15 assuming two wheel drive = 159.85 BHP

W/P ratio = 2600lbs / 159.85 BHP = 16.27 = ESP
