CARS Event Report for Solodex 3
On Sunday June 3 , C.A.R.S. held it's third Solodex competition event at the ARC for 2012.
The course was a modified version of the famous Anderstorp Raceway in Sweden and proved to be a technical challenge to all competitors. The combination of complex turns and fast straight provided a nice balance for both high powered machines like the EVOs and Subarus and their smaller lower horse power counterparts.
There was a considerable turnout of seasoned and rookie competitors but the complexity of the course showed up in the times put down by both groups, the rookies having a little problem closing the gap. At the end all competitors thoroughly enjoyed themselves and expressed their desire to see more courses like this.
The fastest time of the day was recorded in the EP-R class by Mr. Kevon Ramjohn in his Mitsubishi EVO 8 at 100.418 seconds followed very closely by Mr. Devi Nath on 100.711 seconds in a turbocharged SUZUKI SWIFT.
The fastest lady during the day was rookie, Ms. Cathy-Jo Noel in her Mitsubishi Lancer who recorded a time of 116.288 seconds.
