WTK Stock Electrical System and 5-channel amp

Looking to put in a 3 channel or 5 channel amp.(still deciding)
Car electrical system is stock, I believe the alternator (b14) rated at 12v at 70A
The 3 channel amp fuse rating is 60A and the 5 channel is 80A.

After reading online, car audio books and tuner, I believe my current battery will have to change to a deep cycle battery

Question :
Do I need to upgrade the alternator as well or the stock will work. The article online we not specific on this issue, they were using max power to come up with their calculations not rms.
System is for a daily driver, not planning to play too loud or for long hours parked.

Planning on doing a big 3 upgrade as well.

imo do get a deep cycle batt & fit d biggest u can then monitor d voltage while ur music playing with engine on & see how it goes , if it dropping below 12.5v then upgrade d alt ...

If this is the case, you can stick with your current battery and alternator.. A daily use system that is not driven loud will consume very little power. Whenever your battery fails, you can upgrade to a nice deep cycle then..

I would recommend doing the 'Big 3' upgrade though..

^^^i agree..i would also go with the 5channel out of personal preference once the rating on the amp is sufficient to play the desired drivers.if was me i would have went with a single sub a pair of comps and and a pair of coaxials in the rear if necessary.
