Are you more geared for a gallery system, SQ, or Street beater?

you have a budget in mind. That's nice.

Before you go buying, or even go to installers for quotes, ask questions, read and gain information so nobody could "rip you off" and you will have an idea of what it is you want (i.e. stealth, sq, sql, spl)

You could put together a "kicking" system for a fraction of that cost so since money is not an issue per say, do it right the first time)

IA20.1 amps FTMFW!!!! ok, ok I kidding.

rocking the neighborhood dosent necessarily mean loud. Id look into the soundigitial or stetsom amps for massive power, monster subs will include the wardens, tsns, DC level 5 or dd's. xs power batteries & alternators will be my choice & make your choice of mids & mid bass (car speakers for in car listening with your subs crossed low to shake the ground or dj speakers for loud enough to park up & play to have the police busy all the time).

my personal choice for a clean and loud midrange would be

10'' BNC 10md 26 series
as well as bnc drivers
also the stetsom 2k5 series is a class AB amp making it possible for playing mids, therefore one of these gonna drive 4 10'' bnc's like wow,

again this is my pick for midrange, other guys on this forum, have way more experience with other equipment,so just gain some knowledge before you go buying, and good luck.

but some of the cleanest mids amps around in my view are
Kicker sx900.2
soundstream rubicon 1002 (ole skool)
rockford power 800a2
ppi pcx 2400
stetsom 2k5 e

my top 3 brands for bass
stetsom
us amps
digital design

my personal pick for subs; dd 9500 series, orion hcca series, re audio xxx series, atomic apxx series,t3 audio tsns series,

but it all depends on if you want to use 2 real good subs (15'') and mash up or use cheaper lines of subs but in the same brand listed above an build a wall or something.

For that budget and the type of system you have in mind:

1) What i would advise is to take about $12000 from your budget and put it aside for electrical upgrades. i.e. HO alternator, and battery bank.

2) Look at vehicles like yours that have installs in them. Both online and locally. This is to get an idea of what can fit and how well it can do so.

3) Listen to local systems (face time is important) to get an idea of just how "loud" you are looking for. (2 12" off 2000w is pretty darn loud in a SUV)

4) Research brands that you think YOU might like, not because person X think that its the loudest ever should you buy it.

5) Plan your system carefully straight down to the heatshrink you're using, because music eats into a budget like a plague. AND STICK TO IT.

6) At this point you should be demoing installers and looking at their portfolios and budgets. Again, because one person likes it, there is no guarantee that you will too.

After spending your money, you want to be certain that you get EXACTLY what you want.

Hope this helps.

50Gs? Fack, I wish I had that kinda money to burn. Best advice is to do HEAVY research b4 you commit to buying anything,

First thing on your list should be some HO alts.

1st off expect to get all kinda pms from power sellers , salesmen & all sorts of ppl saying they have d best & wanting to make a buck or 2 off ur head from d time they saw a big 50k headline - yes i have my products too but im not 1 to push my stuff onto ppl until they ask me & im not just saying that subliminally

imho u may think a xtrail's trunk is big but when u add in amps , batts , processors , speaker box for bass & mids etc that space will quickly disappear , also are u willing to wall off that trunk or u want to see out of ur back windows like normal ?

my advice wud be a single powerful sub like a 15" or even a 18" u do NOT need multiple subs nor those 5,000 \ 7,000 \ 8,000wrms amps for daily use or even carshow playing , if u want to enter d arena thats a whole other insane story & 50k may not even cut it

u do NOT need 4 10\12s nor 4 drivers for mids - a simple 2 10s & 2 drivers can be plenty , i used to compete with that same amt of mids\highs which is sometimes 1\2 of what some guys were using for mids & still keep up with them

electrical is super important , alternator is what makes d current , preferable get a high output alternator , highest u can afford is d better go & u need drycell batts to bank some stored current to power ur system , do NOT use water batts

a very good deck is must dont skimp here at all , good processing helps alot too

wud recommend good quality wires too since its like d veins & arteries in ur body

sound deadening is advised too unless u enjoy ur ride sounding like beating a crix pan with a stick

since ur spending 50k obviously dont go by mickey mouse installers nor ppl who wud take more than 1\2 of that for labor alone - do some looking around , see what other ppl have in their rides & get some good recommendations ...

good advice rovin

i think i should point out something else that most people ignore...does the vehicle have an alarm/gps etc, seein that so much music gona be in it? some things to note concerning this: 1)the vehicle should have an alarm where you can cut it off from the remote of the alarm(this should be kept separate from the keys so if a man happen to hold you up at gun point, let him drive off and then shut down the vehicle a little distance away) 2)try your best to park where you can see your vehicle 3)move with a group of vehicles if its not a problem 4) be wise behind the volume knob (drivin through somewhere like enterprise/lavantille etc, have the music off and windows up.

we're living in trinidad...it have men that dont care if you sell drugs to buy what you have or earned it honestly, they see/hear it,they want it...because it wouldnt be nice to find out that your vehicle or music stolen :|

take this advice 1st!!

$50K can run out pretty quickly in big builds, so plan carefully!

A high output alternator, wires, interconnects, batteries etc can easily reach $10,000+

By the time you buy two 15"s and build the enclosure(s), that's another $10,000

Midrange + highs + housing = $5000

Amps can easily cost around $15,000

Processor, pre amplification and deck is another $7000 - $10,000

If you go with the good stuff, you are already close to $50,000.. and when you factor in the install costs, well...

So plan out everything before starting to purchase stuff.. don't want to reach 3/4 way through and run out of funds..

a very very good brand which is not used much in Trinidad is Earthquake, seriously don't know why,but there subs especially the sub-zero and the holees perform really good, also the powerhouse amplifiers that they make are of good quality, you would definitely be different using this brand, instead of the usual digital design or the re audio, etc etc.
