Crowd Pleaser Classes and Rules used in MK shows

Crowd Pleaser Classes and Rules

STREET LEGAL
This class is for all street legal vehicles i.e. vehicle must be driveable in competition ready format
All equipment including speakers must remain within the OEM shape of the vehicle
Speakers may be mounted on the doors but doors must remain fully functional
Doors can be open or closed during competition
Suicide and Lamborghini style doors are allowed once doors can open and close with speakers installed
Classes based on subwoofer size or amount as well as overall cone area is taken into consideration
Single 10”
Double 10” (double 8” or triple 8” will fall in this class)
Single 12”
Double 12”
Single sub
Double 15” (triple 10” will fall in this class)
4 Subs
Open Class street legal (open to anyone who qualifies in street legal)

Modified Medium
(midrange mounted outside vehicle up to 1059sq” cone area on subwoofers i.e. 6 15” subs)
Modified Open
(midrange mounted outside vehicle over 1059 sq” cone area on subwoofers i.e. more than 6 15” subs)

10 Classes in all
Competitors can enter a max of 2 classes i.e. the one they qualify for and any one in a higher class
Competition format
Street class vehicles must be ready for competition upon entry into the arena
Driver and technician alone
Modified vehicles will be allowed 5 minutes to setup upon entry into the arena
Driver technician and 2 assistants per vehicle
Vehicles will be parked 10 ft away from the arena barriers
3 tracks 30 sec each
No profanity
In the case of a tie each vehicle will be allowed 1 track 45 sec each

tried to get streetwise and other to apply these rules but i dont know why its not used

these were discussed over a couple months last year with input from veteran installers and competitors

these rules are only enforced in organised shows,small shows just have all kinda different categories going against each other.but nice break down though.

doesnt make sense all shows should enforce these rules that way a proper national standard is kept so the competitor does not have to keep making adjustments from show to show

these days fightdown going on with certain promoters so i doubt all of them gonna stick to 1 standard ...

at the end of the day you could have the best equipment and sounding real good in the arena it all boils down to who brought the maxi loads of men.

^ That's what turning me off from ever entering a show. I like my bass down low (<<<and songs like that)
