Bosch batteries for music?

Postby lethal injection » April 16th, 2014, 11:25 am

Is it recommended? what are the pros and cons of using the S5 or S6?one plus I'm seeing is the warranty being offered.I stand corrected and await your responses. Also what is the difference using these batteries as opposed to XS power or SPARTA or other brands.

System is roughly 8000rms or so with the necessary high output

you will get greater power output from the xs and sparta. Not that bosch isnt a good battery but look at the power output you will be running.
I recently spoke to the sparta dealer about his batteries and he recommends them for inside the car and not the engine bay because the sparta is made to deliver more power (more lead-thinner walls).
I currently have one XS d1200 in the engine bay and it may need replacing soon ( i bought it used).Im going to go with the same battery because of the warranty of 3 years and the battery lasts longer than that.by the way the D series can go in the engine bay.
i suggest that you can use both types of battery. the xs for the engine bay and sparta for inside the vehicle.call the dealers and see what they recommend for your system
you may need the upgrade your alternator as well. call the dealers they suppose to have alternators as well.hope this helps.

8kw as in real 8kw or 8kw as in boss, lanzar and power acoustik power?

Check up your current draw and size your battery bank accordingly. 8kw is a lot of power and you will need quiet a bit of batteries to keep that going as well as a decent HO alternator.

battery wise, you get what you pay for. XS power speaks for itself. If you going that route you can contact the dealer for a decent alternator one time.

"Inside your car"?????

Some batteries are made for the engine compartment and others known as auxillary batteries are to be installed in the trunk with ventilation to outside the vehicle. No batttery should be installed in the passenger compartment of a vehicle as it can lead to poisoning of the passengers due to harmful fumes emmited from the battery when charging

4 amplifiers in total 2 of which are stetsom (2k5 and 3k) respectively
I was looking at the 240A mechman, assuming this is good enough?Well this is where I'm at,deciding on how much and what brand of batteries to use.

Can the higher d series be used instead of the XP series? Are there specific uses of the XP series? Is the XP series better for auxiliary? If so,why?

Thanks for info thus far

Yup, All of the D Series models were designed for upfront use. Have alot of guys locally and on this forum who use the big D3100 upfront with great success as well as many other models.

The XP series were designed to be used as a supplemental power source, For auxiliary purposes, the Ampere Hour and Reserve Capacity ratings are a little higher

I did a search on the xs power website and used the calculator they had.For my power use they recommend either 2 xp3000 or 1d7500.

my question is what's the difference?

I sent you a pm explaining the difference

2 XP 3000 will give you more output compared to the one D7500
