There are a few ae 80's around with the 3sge conversion. The reason it isnt done very much is cuz the ae 80 comes stock with a 1.3/1.5 engine putting out around 80hp so and upgrade to a 4age putting out 165 hp is often more that sufficiant.

The 3sge is a 2.0 and its a heavy engine, so you have to consider the strain on the chassis, suspension brakes etc. Remember the ae 80 is an old car. So its just not practical and safe considering the age and weight of the car. There is also much more fabrication to fit a 3sge much less a 3sgte as compared to the 4age so cost also comes into play. Not to mention that 3s parts are harder to find than 4age.

I considered it a while ago but when i saw tha amount of cutting and fabrication that was needed it just didnt make sense. A well tuned 20v will have you in the 15second bracket which is more than sufficiant IMHO.
