You will need , besides the engine and harness
1. a good fabricator for the mounts
2. a charmant 4 or 5 speed box with the prop shaft
3. a rear axle with a better ratio than stock , say a charmant or cressida rear axle. :D

20V BT in an AE86

I've seen pics of 20V installs where a bracket had to be built to relocate the distributor to the other end of the exhaust cam, and a small toothed belt used to drive it...I'm still looking for those write-ups

in the meantime, take a look at this...S/T in another AE86, but this has a better write-up, and he found a gr8 way to overcome the distributor/firewall issue, that also allowed him to ditch the stock airbox and pave the way for gr8 tuning l8r on..megasquirts IYMC!

ah yes my people thank you for your positive remarks. yea me fanatics we doing it The TRD way. so i did consider the 1g g(t)e. but i wanna keep it 4 cylinder... i wanna turn around a corner... was a guy do an entire supra swap into a 70 on d tuner. sold for 26 if i con recall.

anyway so thanks hook the info on the 86 was brilliant...
the thing is that i'm trying to find the correct gearbox. the T50 with the A bellhousing..

Zeriam... what gearbox did the wagon have if you know? was it a cable clutch or hydraulic.

Mr. smoky 1275... you comments are most welcome and appreciated
i guy said the charmant cable box will work but won't stand up to the power if the 20v.
thus i wanted to know what to know exactly who did this conversion.

oh and thanks 2nerkid thanks for the support....

more comments are welcomed!!

You would find that the MS system was installed due to accessablity to engine controls rather than hardware placement.
The chap here runs a Megasquirt V3 extra. He uses a 36-1 crank damper trigger wheel that allows wasted spark which means the CKP,CAS assembly can be binned. Megasqiurt is a speed density based hence no HFM or MAF.
