WTK:2002 NZE corolla: Electricals cutting off while driving

Electronic steering - Almost caused the driver to crash and run off the road on more than 3 occasions. It cuts off while driving and the steering wheel is almost impossible to turn. She has to stop, switch off then start again.

Radio cuts off

Lights cut off

Air Condition cuts off

Need help, its a death trap.

check alternator and also see if her battery is ok

clean the battery poles, had similar problem

check alternator and coil pack sounds like something is interrupting the flow of the current or a stupid sensor.

I suppose your electrical proplem is current ?
Ok, OK no more jokes !

Make sure your battery grounds are clean and tight.
1. Battery to chassis.
2. Battery to engine.
3. Engine to chassis. If there is none run a braided flexible strap, connecting them.

On the battery positive side the cable will lead to some other connections that supply the car. Make sure the fusible links and connecters are tight and clean.

If you don't find the problem.............then check an auto electrician. This problem can kill you and others too.

My electronic steering gets stiff at times just suddenly and I've observed the P/S light on d panel lights up whenever it happens but its dangerous and suggestions needed.What i usually do is switch off then restart and it works till d next time its ready to act up again however it only occurs when turn corners

If it cuts off randomly and its not the battery check the coil packs. Other than that it may be the ecu
