Yes u can mate the 1jzgte head to the 2jzgte block.... Just remember that when u do this u have to still swing the same 2jz rpm.

A friend of mine made 499 on his 1jzgte with a gt35 turbo and 75 shot nitrous with a greddy blue piggy back system. Stock internals

check kingston12 in pasea.....more than likely your head gasket is blown

Anybody know how to service the Idle solenoid on the 1JZ taking a few seconds longer to step-up when switch A/C on. Thanks

After hard driving from traffic light to traffic light (for example). The idle would drop low and engine would cut off 1jz-gte.
What is the problem?

From the first posts in this thread I saw that the 2jzgte may develop problems from distinctive parts e.g. Stock turbos. If u have one but drive it as u wud a normal car no launching n all that aren't these engines reliable as he'll?

11-12k. 1jz non vvti. auto
unsure about the other vvti model.

would lean towards the single turbo vvti model tho.

Flush and recoat gas tank.
Weld and install a bung .
Run back external pump with a barrel filter.

A stock jz is a beast. No need to do much work with anything else. Just run and maintain. Faults with future stock parts can upgraded when they go bad.

who's a decent electrician to wire a 1jzgte vvti from the jzx100 into the rx30 cressida.

Marvin from point might as well be non existent as he is never accessible.

The owner (not me) is sceptical about Neville (allan) from Montrose.

Anyone else?

2jz block and a 1jz head.
This doesn't really make sense unless you have a blown 2jz head and want to do a little experiment. But jumping straight 1.5jz, like I said, doesn't make much sense. My $0.02.

Well for starters its more costly to build the 1.5jz for the kind of power you seeing....unless of course you're getting parts dog cheap OR have parts laying around already. Most 1jz/2jz parts interchangeable so it shouldn't be as frightening as it sounds lol. Well there are forums online you can get all the info you need.

Here's what you'll need:

2JZ-GTE Brass Coolant Pipe That Runs Around The Block
1JZ-GTE Upper And Lower Intake Manifold With Throttle Body
1JZ-GTE Fuel Rail (Choose Injectors(370cc,440cc,550cc) Decide ECU Setup First; See Below)
1JZ-GTE Idle Speed Control Valve (2JZ-GTE ISCV Is Different)
JDM/USDM 2JZ-GTE/2JZ-GE Oil Filter Cooler Housing (USDM Housing Is Easier To Get Parts)
Lexus Union Bolt Can Be Tapped For A Oil Feed Line/Pressure Sensor (See Link)
Link Shows Modification For Oil Pressure Sensor But A Feed Line Setup Will Work
JDM/USDM 2JZ-GTE Oil Filter Cooler Housing Coolant Hoses (2JZ-GE Housing Has No Oil Cooler)
2JZ-GTE Oil Level Dipstick
1JZ-GTE Engine Temperature Sensor (For The Gauge Cluster; Single Pin Plug)
Drivetrain Is Everything For The Standard 1JZ/2JZ Swap
BIC Engine Brackets (Listed Above)
MKIV Supra Throttle Cable Listed For Standard 1JZ/2JZ Swaps

All Other parts/sensors interchangeable 1jzgte/2jzgte.
