Now it sounds as if the bearings making noise again. Is that normal for wheel bearing to go bad in such a short period of time?
And should i pay TTTL $675 a bearing to replace them with originals?

Will be doing this just now, would rather get the original bearings

Bearings going again, i'm going originals this time and i'm finding someplace else to press them in.

I'm starting to believe i'm only working to pay rent and maintain vehicle

A poor installation of substitute bearings would very probably cause damage to hub shaft and installation of original bearings may be more $'s down the drain.
This could now become a real money trap (I have seen this happen too many times).

well if that turns out to be the case the next step is a pair of spindles.

There's a certain way to press in inside.
I use almost 3 tons to press in a bearing. .spin the hub while pressing it

unfortunately i have no access to a press so i just have to hope the machine shops know what they're doing?

Most doesn't know much. Since it's workers doing the work and not the actual owners. Some do tho.

Which shop in particular?
If in South I could hook you up.

Are there types of wiper blades that are not suited to the shape of the NZE windsheild? I was using a pair of Michelin's as seen below but found the lower side of the larger one was dragging across the windshield. Thoughts?

http://www.pylonhq.com/
Pylon is the exclusive licensee responsible for the manufacture and marketing of the Michelin® line of premium wiper blades and the DuPont line of premium wiper blades and Auto Appearance Products.

I find the Pylon rubber to be too hard, and causes the blade to skip.

My concern was about whether the stealth design allowed the blade to rest properly on the windshield.

I was told by another driver that it is only suitable to certain cars based on the curvature of the glass. i.e. it is more suitable to windshields that are more flat that curve. The original type blade has more pressure points and are suited to windshields that are more curved.

This was news to me so wanted to know if anyone else was aware.

Yup, I noticed this as well dude. Michelin was skipping on my NZE, and was frustrating. After a long while it has settled, talking about a year eh. I had to use liquid soap in the wash bottle and spray on the windscreen for the skipping to stop for a bit. I have a Tucson now and due to it being more flat windscreen the same Michelin works great!

What oil would you'll recommend for an nze 121 doing 160k km? Currently using 10w 40 shell but I'm getting a burn off. I'm thinking if I should switch to 20w50?

160k and burning oil? Im guessing poor maintenance history?

When my yaris was at 230k it started to burn off a little oil so i switched out from the 10w30 amsoil to the 10w40 and that worked a little better. Maybe you could try a 20w50 but really the only solution is to rebuild or replace!

Hello All,
After 2 years of maintaining my locally bought Toyota Corolla 2012 (1NZ-FE engine),
I am looking for a toyota trained mechanic who I can carry my vehicle by to perform maintenance.
Normal thing - oil change, brakes change etc, but I rather deal with a toyota trained mechanic than untrained one. Any Toyota mechanics working on the outside? Any suggestions? Sangre Grande Area, even East West corridor. Thanks Much
