None that I know of. Just maintain on time and you good to go. Use premium gas when possible.

premiums gas not necessary, my wife nze121 going on 5 yrs on super gas with no power or engine issues. only issue we faced was changing the alternator bearing that started making noise.
Like most vehicles good maintenance prevents major problems.

the gas depends on the engine. The manual says the only engine that requires Octane 95 (premium) is the 1NZ-FE, the other engine that comes with the NZE can use Super Octane 92

I don't even own an NZe and o'd say to go ahead and buy. Timely and preventative maintenance is the way to go so don't hesitate or lack in the maintaining of an NZE and any other car generally. No real problems that may come your way. You can close your eyes and buy a Corolla and to a greater extent any Toyota vehicle.

i'm actually reading the manual that came with the NZE121 corolla with a 1NZ-FE engine and the manual states
OCTANE/CETANE NUMBER
Gasoline engine-
Select Research Octane Number 91 or higher.

the engines covered in the manuals were 1NZ-FE, 2NZ-FE, 3ZZ-FE and 1ZZ-FE

He did not make a mistake.

The manual for the 1 NZFE in the 121 corolla states to use as minimum:

91 RON for vehicles without 3-way cat converter

and for vehicles with 3-way cat converter:

1NZ-FE 95 RON
2NZ, 3ZZ and 1ZZ 91 RON

For the 141 corolla (newer shape), the manual states use 91 RON for all engines regardless of having cat converter or not.
Different model cars with the same engine (tuned differently) have different fuel requirements.
