Anyone ever put 205/50/15s on an AE 110 Corolla?

I wanna go up on tyre size from 195/50/15s to 205/50/15s (more tyre surface = more grip) but i wanna get some feedback as to whether the wider tyre touches in the rear or in front (my rear fenders are rolled though.....)

any responses would be appreciated.

that would definitely be a factor since i intend to run drag & wind and solodex this year......

are your fenders rolled?
what size/brand tyre u have on?

how much body roll you got? if a lot, stick with the 195s in the back and run the 205s in front and raise pressure on race day to save sidewall.
205s all around is mad understeer, ran that setup, now I'm back on 195s all around. ae111 with n/a 3s and lowering springs

i dont recall getting really bad body roll, ........but then again i have only raced using some donated 185/55/15 tyres in front and my Kumho 195/50/15s in the back.

the size consideration is really for my daily driving..........granted that i do punch it sometimes or take advantage of aunty Kamla new twisty-turny overpasses at Grand Bazaar.........

hahaha i know what you mean, i enjoy passing there now also.

well if you dont have bad body roll, either you have good springs/shocks already or you drive a really tidy line and upset the car very little. thats a good thing for dex/d&w driving. smooth lines.

i think 195s should be really safe, if you buy used to race (like myself) take time and hunt around for where has the freshest rubber in as much options (manufacturer, treadwear, traction etc) as you can find in your size.

try Tyre Planet Ltd, on Cunupia main road. opposite fluffins bar i think.
and Johns in couva.
