No response from accelerator pedal 2007 model Hilux D4D

Postby cvasur » December 2nd, 2014, 8:15 pm

Has anyone else experienced this problem? What can be the cause and how to repair it? The mechanic is saying that's it's linked to a sensor that responds to the ECU. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Just clean your MAF located on top of air filter box.
Please use a proper MAF cleaner or you may make matters worse.BTW, removal O-ring seal on MAF before executing clean.
This is a DIY, if this fails get proper check informed by a scan.

Thanks. I will try this. The ECU was remapped/flashed but still no great differences as acceleration is sluggish and seeing smoke probably from injector wear. The smoke usually shows up when starting but after a short run it goes away.
