According to your previous posts, you use premium. If u still do, u shouldn't be getting knocking. Try a different unipet gas station or go np. My personal expersience (1.5 cy) i started off using unipet (super) and after a few months, the car would rough idle and i was using treatment religiously. One day i filled up at np (super) and all my problems stopped no need for treatment as regular

The only trestment i use is amsoil in which i get from dm. i use unipet premium because they recommend it. The 1.5 can use super? I thought the compression ratio may have been similar to the 1.6. Have you, or do you know anyone who is having fuel problems with these lancers.

According to the manual i shouldn't but i been using super a whole yr now without problem. Just using half bottle of red line unjector cleaner every 2 months or so. But as i said. I got noticeably better combustion, no vibration from NP super than from unipet

You should really test drive it yourself, especially if you're buying from the firm and able to. One man's "Bleh" would be another man's "Wow", and vice versa.

Hey fellas, need some assistance. Need to get a oem replacement hand brake cable for the rear left passenger side of a 2012 mitsubishi gt lancer (CY4A 2.0). Anyone knows where else I can get this locally other than the dealership? I contacted them but they don't have any in stock and it'll take about 6-8 weeks to import it, apparently. A website where I may be able to order it faster than the company will suffice as well.

Has anyone used the ralliart snorkel+ drop in k&n filter on their lancer? Any noticeable gains?

I have the K&N drop in. While there may be a tiny increase in HP and fuel economy, it definitely is nothing you would clearly feel by the seat of your pants. Fuel economy you would probably notice if you drive conservatively.

I have the stock snorkel, but I don't think the larger Ralliart one will make any huge difference, since the airflow would still be limited by the "mesh" in front the snorkel intake, preventing any real increased ram air effect.

The real advantage of the K&N drop in, IMHO, is the savings and convenience in not having to go out and buy replacement air filters whenever the filter gets dirty - which is fine by me.

If you want a more noticeable increase in power, you need to go with a short ram or cold air intake. I think JUS4SHO had his used K&N Typhoon intake for sale at a good price.

I hear you dredman1, the other options are the short ram or cold air intake, however there is some conflicting information about these types of intakes out there. Especially the short ram, all that hot air can't be too beneficial. And then there's the maintenance and water issues with the cold air intake. After doing some research the RA snorkel+drop in k&n seemed like the most logical choice.

In order to increase the air supply, one can simply cut a hole as shown below and then cap off the opening to create a continuous piping for the air flow.
