There's not a whole lot of info about the 4G67 but it's really a 4G63 without a load of stuff to make it perform. By comparison it's soooo much weaker than it's brother, but a good engine capable of making power up to 8000rpm, though not much power. However they can swap parts directly with the 4G67, 4G61 and 4G63. Please note that this 4G63 is the one with the gearbox on the driver side that I'm speaking of...the design changed somewhat for the 4G63 in the later years (post Evo 3).
I was building my old 4G67 for boost, before I scrapped the project for my present ride...did my research and asked a lot of questions from friends abroad with DSMs. Basically I was going to build with the stock 4G67 bottom end, Evo 3 cams in the head, 4G63 manifold and a 6psi internally gated turbo, 1994 DSM ECU and SAFC, to name a few. Any lag could be corrected with an EBC and tuning. The tranny may pose a problem because they are naturally weak and may not hold up under boost. The Evo or DSM tranny is hardly an option.
So there lies the quandry if you don't have a manual box your tranny is going to die. If I locate my old notes I'll PM them to you. All in all...it's not easy to do and the platform may pose long term issues but if done it just might be true fun.
Hope that helps.
