UPDATE: May 12 2010

This car is a monster!

CarvTech has completed setting up and installing the Cosworth head. Along the way they have been improving several bits and pieces in and around the engine bay, technically and aesthetically.

There was a major issue with a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust. There I was thinking of rings, turbo seal etc. The problem was discovered and solved by CarvTech. The previous mechanic who worked on the car installed an incorrect hose type and looped it. Oil was collecting in the loop and being burnt off. The correct hose type was installed the proper way and voilà, no more smoke.

The car still has to undergo final tuning on the dyno. I drove the car today and it is amazing, scary, addictive and feels fantastic. I am thoroughly impressed. This project has taken a new turn with CarvTech. Truly incredible capabilities.

Final steps include 1000cc injectors, gauges, fuel cell, NOS kit, carbon fibre bonnet, new front canards and several other improvements around the car.

As always I will keep tuners up to date.

Ha ha. Agreed Porn Star...

CarvTech is now scheduled to complete the project in the next couple weeks as there's still some to be done.

UPDATE June 26 2010:

Nothing has been done over the past four weeks or so. The project had to be halted for reasons beyond control. Luckily the car was left in good tune even, however significantly detuned while using the stock evo x injectors. Even so, I've been enjoying the car tremendously as it is a completely different animal. I cannot honestly imagine what is going to happen when it is completed.

Once it is completed, new photos and first videos including at least one with a test run...

Stay tuned!

Tuners my photos and vids are on my phone which got wet on Friday. They are supposed to be on my iTunes account so I will get them from there and post up. I do have some new videos of the car on the highway on power transition runs. Will try to post up tomorrow.

After a few hours of tuning on the dyno we are up to 550hp at the crank. Much more tuning and other refinements to be taken care of. Still in the preliminary stages of making power. Engine is good for 800whp.
