4G92 SOHC Help [Local]

Postby Parvin » October 31st, 2010, 7:52 pm

Yes folks.

Bringing together the queries i had

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=338599

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=336106&hilit=idle+sensor

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=334011

I got a sensor from the 4G18 ( same small 6 pin arrangement, size ) Hooked it up and it works,

BUT

when the car starts, the RPM goes to 1400 and slowly rises to 1600. Turning on the AC causes it to drop to about 1000-1200 RPM.

Adjusting the screw for the idle ( not recommended by posts i saw in other threads ) can only lower it to 1000 RPM. Screw reaches it's limit there.

Is it faulty or is that normal? I'm asking because I think the RPM is too high and it drops when the AC is turned on. Isn't it supposed to 'step up' so to speak ?
