Need Help (Electrical)

Postby kbl » October 20th, 2011, 10:13 pm

since my switch for high beam is broken, i want to run a separate (direct) line with a switch to control my high beam. also this would assist me in running both high and low beam at the same time since the original wiring does not allow this. heard u have to get relays... any help on this would be greatly appreciated

well then that will be real heat in that headlight eh, just letting you know.
it should be very simple

4 pin relay (use a relay harness as well):
1st pin = switch goes to input for relay switch on
2nd pin = ground for relay switch on
3rd pin = 12v source in for relay
4th pin = 12v out from relay to 1 pin on bulb..........2nd pin on bulb goes to ground

check the relay diagram to see which pins are for the switch and which are for the 12v input/output

if a 5 pin relay is used, simply disregard the center pin.

i did something similar in my lancer when i put in HIDs

My indicator switch is giving some trouble. At times while driving, the park light would either flicker or completely come off while still in the 'park light' position. Sometimes I have trouble. It is a real bother and quite dangerous. What could be the problem here? Worn switch? Car is question is a 2005 CS3 Lancer.
