Postby raymo » January 15th, 2012, 11:18 pm

Hello there, i a cedia lancer gdi model transmission problem. While driving it just lost power.. It does not move in either drive or reverse , the N light on the dashboard blinks, and the engine reves off, no movement....can you tell me if this could be resolved ?what caused the problem and how?

your transmission has to be repaired..there is a place on aranguez main road that does repairs...you could purchase a foreign used one in the bamboo...to fix/purchase foreign used one will cost you just about the same - $5000-$7000TTD...good luck dude

^^^That place Biggs3ne is talking about is Jenton's Transmission Specialist. 675-0248.
They repair and rebuild CVT transmissions. Just as Biggs3ne said, it will cost you between $5000 to $7000.

Looks like your transmission belt burst since there is no movement at all.

@ Brotherhood..yea is Jentons I was referring to indeed.

@ Raymo...is best you take the car to Jentons and have the transmission repaired because you can buy a foreign used one and bounce up problems down the road, or you may not get any at all...but the safest thing to do is to repair your tranny...

THIS!!!

When you buy a foreign used transmission, you don't know what you getting. Same way yours got to it's present stage, so could be the one you purchase.

Can you tell me who did the rebuilding work for you?

I'm having trouble with reverse gear engaging with my b13 tranny. At first it wasn't that bad but now it's taking a little longer. My mech said it's a sign that it's going and quoted me a price of $2200 to rebuild(is this good?). Wanted to just swap in a foreign used as I thought it would be cheaper and I don't have that money lying around (recently put in a qg15de engine, sigh). Everyone's saying the same thing that Biggs3ne said though. So now I'm looking around to do the rebuild...

The rebuild may cost more, but it will be worth it in the long run. I've never had any transmission issues (knock on wood), but if I do I will spend my $$ and have it re-built. The same goes for an engine job.

Just my $0.02

$8,000.00 dude???????? I sure it was worth it anyways. All you got to do now is change that fluid on time, make sure your levels are always good, and most important thing to do is not rough up the tranny too much...

If anyone is interested, I have a Cedia CVT tranny
already rebuilt...new clutches, filter, belt & drum
excellent, sensors in order...
Brian from Freddy Street in Aranquez did the job.
He trained under "Flash", he's quite thorough and
reasonable.
I'm asking $5,500.00 negotiable.

PM me if interested...
