Currently I will be using the five (5) hole configuration of the wheels, so I went looking and came upon these at a reasonable price.

As of right now, the project is on hold. Due to work changes, I need a "disposable car" for the next two years and guess what, the lancer is it.

All the parts will now be taken off (and we now put it on) the vehicle return to normal. Will be painting it over the next month to improve its durability.

^ ^ ^ Sorry to hear that. As usual "life" gets in the way of a good project car.
My projects were on hold... no $$$ after EXPENSIVE house renovation.
Trying to start buying more UK Evo parts soon.

Hope you can sort out the issues and re-start a.s.a.p.

Is not so much of a $$$ issue at this time. When I look at the vehicles I have and which I willing to sacrifice, the Lancer is the only one.

I will be looking at other option as time goes by.

As for house, I usually carry out renovation around the Xmas, that does eat money, necessary though,

I started to fix up the table frame I had from last year.

Got some mora board, these real hard, my planer saw some strain smoothing them.

Used a biscuit jointer to join the boards, check out how it came out.
Table top finished.JPG

So I had this tool chest parked up a few years ago, got it from Pricesmart. I thought it was time to give the tools a new home.

Scraped the bottom end. The crank looking good. Block have to cut oversize.

Got this power steering box and steering column from a Galant Super Saloon.

So I picked up this Borg Warner 4 Speed transmission a few weeks back. This should hold the engine for up to a few hundred horses.

I need to get a few extra parts, such as pullies, brackets and some nicks and nacks, so I decided to purchase a scrap engine. This block was ventalated, but everything arounf the engine is good, the only thing is that it is a 1.8l.

CP forged pistons is one alternative. SOHC G63BT parts are VERY hard to find these days.
Search the DSM Forums in the US for other recommendations & suppliers... or try Racing Performance Works. in Australia.
They still have an active parts program for the SOHC Sirius & DOHC 4G63.

BTW does that Borg Warner transmission bolt onto the block without modifications?

I was looking at CP, Manley, Wiseco and JE from DSM graveyard.

The transmission is from a Toyota Cressida (21R), the Lancer 1.8L used to come with them with a different bellhousing. Currently looking for a bellhousing from a Gallant 2000 transmission, but that will fit on the wideblock 4g63, my block will be the narrow block, but the modification would be less. The starter on the narrowblock is on the passanger side, the one on the Cressida is on the driver side.

These transmission can be kitted out to handle upwards of 500HP, from what I have been told.

Was gonna mention that if you can't get the 4G63....the 4G67 is your best option but I see you've got it already.

It performs great. No issues with it. We had one in a C62 lancer some years back when I was younger as well as an A172 with a 4G37.

Nice work man. Really enjoy seeing A172s kept mitsu 8-)

So I eventualy got the bellhouseing for the transmission.
Notice the deference in the lineup of starter. Still can't get a flex plate, so I might go manual for the time being.

So the straightener finally started to paint the car after six months.
With the car getting ready to come home and me getting another pickup, I will have to sell the BT-50 automatic to make room.
